Once again, Jyske Bank Boxen will provide the setting of the World Men's Handball Championship, when Herning will be the host city in 2019.
The championship is held in Denmark and Germany, through a strong cooperation between the national handball federations of the two countries and Sport Event Denmark. The matches will be played in both countries, where Herning and Copenhagen will host the matches in Denmark, while the matches in Germany will be played in Berlin, Munich, Cologne and Hamburg.
Jyske Bank Boxen will provide the framework for some of the matches, as well as the final weekend, where the eight best nations will compete.
When the whistle blows, and the 2019 World Men's Handball Championship starts, it falls under the new system with an intermediary round instead of a knockout phase with round of 16 and quarterfinals. The background for the new system and further information can be found here.
