Søby Brunkulsmuseum

Søby lignite reserves is a beautiful area to hike in, but beware - there is still a risk of landslides due to the lignite mining that took place from the beginning of World War II until 1970. It is most dangerous near water and where the sand has been dug up and put back. Places where the loose sand is saturated with water, the sand loses its resilience and turns into quicksand. Go for a walk around the area and enjoy the many lookout points.

From the 1st of October to the 31st of March the museum will open after appointment.
