IIHF Womens Ice Hockey World Championship 2026
November 6–16, 2026, experience the IIHF Women’s World Championship in Herning and Esbjerg. The world’s top women’s national ice hockey teams will compete for the world title, with Denmark playing its preliminary-round games on home ice in Herning, which also hosts the final round.
The 2026 IIHF Women’s World Championship brings the world’s top 10 women’s national ice hockey teams together in Denmark.
The tournament will be played at Hockey Arena Herning and Hockey Arena Esbjerg. Denmark is in Group B alongside Canada, Finland, Sweden and Japan, with all of the group’s preliminary-round games taking place in Herning. Group A consists of the United States, Czechia, Switzerland, Germany and Austria, with preliminary-round games played in Esbjerg.
Following the preliminary round, the championship continues with the final round in Herning, including the semi-finals and medal games.
The World Championship is an opportunity to experience international women’s ice hockey at the highest level and support the Danish national team on home ice in Herning.
