Winter Holiday at the Textile Museum
9 February – 11 February 2026.
Stop by the Textile Museum during the winter holiday and take part in cosy, creative activities for the whole family.
From Monday to Wednesday in week 7, the museum opens the doors to its creative workshop, where both children and adults can let their creativity run free with various forms of handicrafts. From 11.00 am to 3.00 pm on all three days, our dedicated volunteers will be on hand to help, inspire and ensure that everyone has a great experience – whether you are a beginner or experienced.
You can make your own Shrovetide mask in felt, or try creating your own textile artwork either on canvas or as a hanging mobile. When you are finished, you are of course welcome to take your creations home with you.
Once the creative activities have been explored, you can also discover the museum’s exhibitions. In We Are the Champions, you get up close to both major sports stars and everyday heroes and follow the development of sport and sports fashion over 70 years. Here, the whole family can also get their pulse up with small, fun activities.
In The Children’s Factory, the youngest visitors can play their way into history in a child-friendly version of a 1950s textile factory, where clothes are produced, moved around and sent out into the world.
The exhibition Made in Midtjylland provides insight into how the textile industry shaped Central Jutland and created new living conditions in the 1950s. Through objects, illustrations and personal stories, you get close to the local industrial history in authentic surroundings.
The Textile Museum is open all week during the winter holiday – including Monday. The workshop activities take place from Monday to Wednesday.
Price: Free admission for children and young people under 18, adults: DKK 75.
Registration is not required.
