Summer like in the REALLY old days

Tuesday to Thursday from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM in weeks 27, 28, 30, and 31.

Get hands-on with history!

Throughout the summer, we’re running workshops where the whole family can work with natural materials and ancient techniques.

The rotating workshops include plant dyeing, pottery, blacksmithing, and rope making. We’ll also fire up the old peat works, and we need child laborers to help us produce peat just like 100 years ago!

All summer long, you can also discover cool finds in our “excavation.”

Most activities are covered in case of rain.

Inside the museum, you can explore our exhibitions featuring exciting archaeological finds and large peat machines – and the youngest visitors can go on a hunt for hidden signs in the dark.

This summer, children can purchase a snack bag with sausage rolls, fruit, biscuits, cheese sticks, and juice. And of course, you can also get a cup of coffee or an ice cream to quench your thirst or hunger.
