Summer opening at Frilandsmuseet Herning
6 July, 13 July, 20 July, and 27 July – all days from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
This summer, the Open-Air Museum Herning will have extended opening hours.
Among the old fruit trees, visitors can wander in and out of the charming farmhouse environment, which is maintained by the dedicated volunteers of the Village Guild. Volunteers will open the houses, allowing guests to peek inside Ane Marie’s house or sense the atmosphere in the smithy. However, the main farmhouse remains closed due to renovation.
Indoors, visitors can experience the Occupation Apartment and life in and around Herning during World War II. Additionally, there is an exhibition on the folklore collector Evald Tang Kristensen, and children can enjoy exploring Jens Nielsen’s Farm – a popular attraction.
Admission is free – and regular Thursday opening hours from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM will continue throughout the summer until 31 August.
