Southern Avenue

Southern Avenue is a band from Memphis, Tennessee, USA, known for its unique sound and powerful mix of gospel, soul, roots and blues. The music is driven by three strong and well-integrated vocalists – the three Jackson sisters.

The band features lead vocalist Tierinii Jackson, drummer and vocalist Tikyra “TK” Jackson, and percussionist, violinist and vocalist Ava Jackson. Together with guitarist Ori Naftaly and keyboard player Jeremy Powell, they have created the signature Southern Avenue sound.

Southern Avenue’s music combines the historic musical spirit of Memphis with a modern twist. Their original songs pay tribute to tradition while also pointing forward, contributing to the ongoing evolution of Memphis music.

The band released its debut album Southern Avenue in 2017 on the revived, legendary Memphis-based label Stax. This was followed by Keep On in 2019 and Be the Love You Want in 2021. Since their debut, Southern Avenue has worked with various bass players.
