True crime on stage at MCH Herning Kongrescenter.
Get ready for a chilling evening as the classic tale The Priest in Vejlby comes to life as a true crime theatre production at MCH Herning Kongrescenter.
Everyone in the small Jutland village of Vejlby is shaken. The priest has had a confrontation with his farmhand, who has now disappeared without a trace.
The young and inexperienced district magistrate – the priest’s future son-in-law – is thrown into an investigation that gradually uncovers old secrets, forbidden love, and moral dilemmas.
Dark secrets and murder in a historical drama The Priest in Vejlby is based on true events from the 17th century and is known from Steen Steensen Blicher’s classic short story from 1829 – part of the Danish Ministry of Culture’s Cultural Canon. Now the historical crime story is brought to life as a theatrical performance, where the eerie and mysterious unfold right before the audience’s eyes.
And who knows – maybe you’ll even have a chance to influence the investigation? Can you guess who the murderer is? Don’t miss this atmospheric and nerve-racking theatre experience, where the drama of the past unfolds in a contemporary true crime format on 29 October at MCH Herning Kongrescenter.
