Phønix & SangKa

15 April 2026.
A unique concert experience awaits as Phønix invites Chinese guzheng player SangKa to join them on stage. Together, they create a new and distinctive soundscape through the meeting of two very different musical traditions.

The guzheng features a dreamy, harp-like pentatonic sound that blends beautifully with Phønix’s energetic and grooving melodies and songs. The concert is marked by a high musical level, focusing on presence, energy, virtuosity and a strong visual expression.

Phønix and SangKa present the album’s nine tracks as a cohesive whole, where lively and calm passages alternate naturally. The album Groovy Guzheng has been described by Global Music Magazine as a refined and homogeneous musical achievement.

The collaboration began in 2014 at the opening of the new Danish Cultural Institute in Beijing, in an industrial hall in the city’s 798 art district. Since then, they have performed together at events such as the SPOT Festival, the Cultural Meeting on Mors, the Musik i Tide Festival, and on concert tours in Denmark and in China’s Guangdong province.
