Step into an enchanting world of dance, music, and fairytale magic as the Classical Ukrainian Etoile Ballet performs the beloved classic The Nutcracker at MCH Herning Kongrescenter.
With Pyotr Tchaikovsky’s unforgettable music and Marius Petipa’s timeless choreography, the story of young Clara comes to life. On Christmas Eve, Clara receives a nutcracker doll that leads her into a dreamworld filled with dancing snowflakes, toy soldiers, and the graceful Sugar Plum Fairy. Together with the Nutcracker Prince, she confronts the fearsome Mouse King and embarks on an adventure where love and courage triumph.
This production is ideal as an introduction to ballet for children and a nostalgic experience for adults. The performance is presented by the acclaimed Classical Ukrainian Etoile Ballet, founded by soloists Irina and Anatoliy Khandazhevsky from the Kharkiv Opera and Ballet Theatre. The company consists of award-winning dancers from Ukraine and Europe, performing in handcrafted costumes and set designs accompanied by high-quality recordings from the Kharkiv Opera Orchestra.
The performance is arranged in collaboration with the Norwegian organisation "Culture for the People" to support Ukrainian classical ballet art and artists who are currently unable to perform in their homeland.
Treat yourself and your loved ones to an unforgettable start to the Christmas season with this magical ballet experience when The Nutcracker comes to MCH Herning Kongrescenter on 1 December 2025.
