Nomadeliv
21 June – 19 October 2025.
This summer and autumn, Klosterlund Museum presents the special exhibition Nomadic Life.
Based on Anna-Caroline Fosmark’s experiences as a “modern nomad,” the exhibition explores both contemporary and historical forms of nomadic living.
Nomadic Life uses words and images to show how life in nature has unfolded for Anna-Caroline, while drawing parallels to the museum’s exhibition on Stone Age hunters who lived as nomads in harmony with nature at Lake Bølling 10,000 years ago.
Anna-Caroline Fosmark is an adventurer, nature enthusiast, artist, and known from DR programs such as Alone in the Wilderness and Denmark’s Best Portrait Painter.
In 2021, she made the drastic decision to leave behind the modern lifestyle most of us know and instead live year-round in nature.
During her first three years, Anna-Caroline lived nomadically across Denmark and Europe, cycling over 18,000 km solo and travelling through 18 countries. Since then, she has settled down and created a small homestead on a natural plot, where she now lives in her tent.
The exhibition is on display until 19 October 2025.
