Message from Aula

Tuesday, 7 October 2025.

Step into the familiar – and often absurd – world of the Danish public school when the performance ‘Message from Aula’ takes the stage at MCH Herning Congress Centre.

An oasis of humour and recognition

The performance is based on everyday life in our shared public school system and the many serious and comical conflicts that arise when teachers, parents, and students work together on children’s education. Meet the art teacher and the headmaster, the janitor and the PE teacher, Albert’s mum and Andrea’s dad. Everyone has something on their mind and an opinion about the school.

Inspired by Louise Leegaard’s popular Instagram profile @beskedfraaula, the show brings a funny and poignant portrait of modern parenting and school life to the stage. The performance is especially relevant for parents and teachers, but with its satirical edge, it can be enjoyed by everyone – regardless of age or connection to the school.

‘Message from Aula’ poses the question: Is the public school something we share, or has it become a battleground for individual opinions? With humour, edge and high relatability, the audience is invited to reflect and laugh at the sense of community that either binds us together or divides us around our children’s daily lives.

Look forward to an evening of laughter, recognition, and thought-provoking insights into our shared school life when ‘Message from Aula’ hits the stage at MCH Herning Congress Centre on 7 October 2025.
