Brande celebrates its 850th anniversary with a free concert!

Brande is marking its 850th anniversary in style when none other than Lars Lilholt Band takes the stage for a festive and free folk concert on Thursday, September 4, 2025, in the parking lot by Brande Hallerne.

The concert is organized by Brande City in collaboration with local businesses and passionate volunteers – and will be the highlight of a day where the entire town gathers to celebrate music, community, and local pride.

“We look forward to bringing Brande together for something big, vibrant, and heartfelt. We hope everyone – young and old – will join us at the concert grounds and help create an unforgettable atmosphere,” says Preben Christensen, chairman of Brande City.

A project driven by community and local support
The project is funded through sponsorships from local businesses – with special thanks to Bent Jensen, known as “Tæppe-Bent”, who has been at the forefront of rallying support from the business community.

Green Hill kicks things off – and local associations provide food & fun
Before Lars Lilholt Band takes the stage, local band Green Hill will set the mood. The concert grounds will be buzzing with life as local associations run stalls offering food, drinks, and cozy activities.
