
Handball Exhibition during the EHF EURO 2026 – Museum Midtjylland
During the Men’s EHF EURO 2026 in Herning, visitors can also explore the history of handball.
In the fan zone at Jyske Bank Boxen, Museum Midtjylland presents the exhibition Handball – Danish Cultural Heritage.

In connection with the Men’s EHF EURO 2026, Museum Midtjylland opens the exhibition Handball – Danish Cultural Heritage in the fan zone at Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning. The exhibition presents the development of handball from outdoor field handball to today’s indoor seven-a-side game.
Visitors can see original handballs, medals and jerseys from Danish championships and international tournaments. The exhibition tells the stories of well-known teams and periods in Danish handball history, including the successful 1990s and the men’s first European Championship gold medal in 2008.
The exhibition also highlights the importance of handball for local communities in Central Jutland and for Denmark’s national identity.

Weekdays: 2 hours before the first match
Weekends: 3.5 hours before the first match
