And it will not be a quiet finale.

For the final concerts, composer, bassist, mentor and bandleader Bo Stief has assembled a special special edition band featuring both former and new PLAYGROUND musicians. Together, they will celebrate 25 years of a project that has served as both a musical playground and a springboard for a long line of young talents from all over Denmark.

Over the years, PLAYGROUND LIVE has helped musicians move on into professional music careers, with former participants later going on to play with, among others, Lukas Graham, Bremer/McCoy, Heise Quadrillion, LIGA, Cort Lunde and Tobias Rahim.

PLAYGROUND LIVE has never been only about rehearsing the music. Drawing on Bo Stief’s many years of experience, the young musicians have been introduced to the realities of life as a musician: rehearsing, performance, collaboration and, not least, life on tour with many concerts and widely different audiences.

For 25 years, the result has been concerts filled with joy of playing, energy, power, youthful wildness and a desire to push the boundaries a little. In short: music with an uplifting effect – both on stage and among the audience.
Swinging Europe is also behind PLAYGROUND LIVE and has helped make the project possible throughout all these years. This year, Swinging Europe itself celebrates its 30th anniversary, making Herning the natural setting for the final celebration.

Before the concert, Højhuset invites you to a communal dinner. Because why rush straight to the music when you can begin the evening around the table?
Come for dinner at 18.00, find a seat at the long table and continue from there to the concert at 19.00.
