Historiens Hus invites you to a day full of activities and historical experiences at Traces in the Heath. All associations and the museum in the house will be open, and entry is free, including complimentary tea, juice, and cookies.
Visitors can see a historic truck from Abildå Brunkulsleje, previously used for transporting lignite. In the garden behind Historiens Hus, a tent will host several associations presenting their work, offering activities, and selling books. Participants include Herning Husflid, Lystbækgård, and the association “The Potato Germans on the Alhede”.
The open-air museum will be open, offering a variety of activities. Guests can try traditional games, and local scouts will light a campfire. Throughout the day, three talks will focus on local history and textile industry heritage.
The hospital museum and other exhibitions will also be open, and visitors can explore ASRA’s hayloft. Local genealogists and historians will be present, sharing their knowledge.
Food can be purchased on-site, and horse carriage rides are available for a fee. The day also includes live music from Aulums Musikvenner.
