FOLK FESTIVAL – 50 years of art, community and experiences celebrates exactly 50 years since the Carl-Henning Pedersen & Else Alfelt Museum first opened its doors.
The museum welcomes the whole family to a day of art, music and community. On the outdoor stage, you can enjoy free concerts featuring Andreas Odbjerg X Resonerende Rum, Maenske, Sofie1998 and Opera i Midten, as well as an appearance by Anders Lund Madsen.
Inside the museum, the programme includes talks, music and stories about art and the museum's history, while the Fantasizone invites children and adults to take part in free creative workshops. Admission to the museum's exhibitions is also free from 10 am to 5 pm, including the anniversary exhibition Folkegaven.
The Folk Festival takes place at the Carl-Henning Pedersen & Else Alfelt Museum in Birk, Herning. Participation in the festival and its activities is free, although tickets are required for selected indoor events due to limited capacity. Food and drinks will be available to purchase during the day.
