Book Concert with Benjamin Koppel

Højhuset Kulturhotel presents a book concert with Benjamin Koppel based on Sommerfuglens Stemme, the sequel to the award-winning novel Annas sang.

The performance combines readings, vocals, and original compositions into a narrative about family, love, trauma, and unspoken stories. Ulla Koppel reads selected excerpts from the novel, while Frederikke Vedel interprets the vocal elements.

Benjamin Koppel performs on saxophone, tying the experience together with his distinctive musical expression. He is joined by an ensemble featuring Søren Møller on piano and keys, Scott Colley on bass, Magnus Öström on drums, and Tobias Van Der Pals on cello.

Together, they create a soundscape blending classical influences, Nordic tones, and modern jazz.

The programme begins with a communal dinner at 6:00 PM, followed by the concert at 7:30 PM. The event concludes at 9:00 PM. Drinks are available for purchase before and after the concert.

This is the only concert of its kind in Jutland in 2026.
