Autumn Holiday at Tekstilmuseet
October 12-14, 2026, from 11 am to 3 pm, families can enjoy creative activities at Tekstilmuseet in Herning. Join welcoming workshops, make fun and slightly spooky pom-pom figures, and explore the museum’s exhibitions and Børnefabrikken play area together.
Autumn Holiday at Tekstilmuseet offers three days of creative activities for the whole family.
In the museum’s creative workshop, children and adults can work side by side with colours, shapes and different materials. Make funny, imaginative or slightly spooky pom-pom animals from yarn and give them character with eyes, teeth and other details. You can also use felt to create your own Halloween-inspired figures.
The workshop is open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday during week 42 from 11 am to 3 pm. Families can drop in at any time during the day, although the museum recommends allowing a couple of hours for the creative activities.
The museum’s exhibitions are open throughout the week until 4 pm. Explore We are the Champions, try being a seamstress for a day in Made in Midtjylland, or visit the Børnefabrikken play area with younger children.
The creative workshop is free after museum admission, and children have free admission.
