When the World Slowed Down. After-Work Talk
October 7, 2026 at 17.00 - 18.00.
In the talk “When the World Slowed Down,” Peter Skovmos takes the audience on a journey back to Denmark in the 1930s and 1940s. Through storytelling and visual materials, he presents a vivid picture of everyday life in a time shaped by clear social structures and a slower pace.
The talk covers both daily life and broader societal topics, including the German occupation, security policy, economic changes and cultural developments. It offers a comprehensive insight into a period of significant transformation in Denmark.
Peter Skovmos Nielsen is a retired educational leader and ambassador for the Julemærkefonden. His fee for the talk is donated in full to the foundation.
