Seated Woman

Seated Woman is a bronze sculpture by the British artist Henry Moore, known for his abstract yet recognizable human figures.

The work depicts a seated woman with soft, rounded forms that radiate calmness and contemplation. Moore’s sculptures are often inspired by natural landscapes and the shapes of the human body, giving them a timeless and universal expression.

The sculpture was acquired in 1987 by carpet manufacturer Mads Eg Damgaard, who donated it to the city of Herning.
