The National Livestock Show 2026

The National Livestock Show takes place annually at MCH Messecenter Herning and serves as a key meeting point for Danish agriculture and the food industry. Over three days, visitors can experience some of the country’s finest livestock, including cattle, horses, sheep, goats and many other breeds.

The programme includes animal judging, competitions and professional activities where skills, breeding work and traditions are central. There are also machinery exhibitions, agricultural equipment stands and presentations from organisations and companies within the sector.

At the same time, the event offers a family-friendly experience with activities for children, demonstrations and the opportunity to get close to the animals. Many guests return year after year, and the show is known for its welcoming and well-organised setting.

Generations meet here around a shared interest in animals, nature and agriculture – making the National Livestock Show one of the major summer events in Herning.
