Minecraft Experience - Herning

Opens at Easter 2026.

Step into the Minecraft universe – in real life, in Herning.

At Easter 2026, Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue opens its doors at MCH Messecenter Herning – a brand-new, physical and interactive experience where visitors can step directly into one of the world’s most beloved video game universes. For the very first time ever in Europe, it will be possible to experience Minecraft on a large scale outside of a screen, as the iconic game is brought to life in the real world.

An experience for the whole family
Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue is created for both children and adults – for families, friends, and groups who want to do something together where everyone can take part. The experience requires no prior knowledge of the game, and both beginners and experienced Minecraft fans can participate side by side.

What can you expect?

Seven interactive Minecraft rooms:
Explore seven different rooms inspired by Minecraft biomes – from forest landscapes to mysterious caves – and work together to collect resources, build structures, and progress through the mission.

Save the village:
Your mission is to save the villagers from a zombie attack. Along the way, you must gather ingredients for a life-saving potion, encounter both friendly and hostile creatures – such as creepers, skeletons, and iron golems – and work together with your fellow players to succeed.

Interaction Orb:
You will receive a handheld device, the so-called Orb of Interaction, which you use to break blocks, collect resources, and interact with the world around you – a new and fun way to experience Minecraft elements in real life.

Duration and flow:
The experience typically lasts approx. 45–60 minutes and takes place in scheduled start intervals, ensuring that you move through the universe in a smooth flow together with other participants.

Exclusive in-game reward:
All participating guests receive a unique digital code that grants access to a Minecraft Experience cape in the game Minecraft: Bedrock Edition – a souvenir from the experience that you can use at home.

Trading Post:
After the mission, you can visit the area where merchandise and souvenirs are available for purchase as a memory of your visit.

Why this is something special

Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue is not just an exhibition – it is a real-life experience with advanced technology, creative play, and teamwork at its core. Here, you get the opportunity to experience the beloved game without a screen, as you physically move around a fantasy universe together.

With Herning as the host city, it becomes the first destination in the EU where this total experience can be enjoyed – following great success in cities such as London, Toronto, and New York.

Minecraft Experience: Villager Rescue opens at Easter 2026 at MCH Messecenter Herning, and the experience can be enjoyed throughout the summer of 2026 – perfect as part of a longer stay in Central Jutland.
