The route consists of a total work of art of 21 doors in cast aluminum by the Spanish contemporary artist Jaume Plensa. The doors are spread through the center of Herning, and together make up the work "Herning's Doors". The work is part of HEART's Socle du Monde 2021. As you walk among the 21 aluminum doors, you can read the articles from the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Universal Declaration was adopted in 1948 in the wake of World War II, emphasizing that human rights apply to all human beings at all times.
