Construction and Knitting. Workshop
30 May 2026 kl. 10.00 - 31 May 2026 kl. 17.00.
This intensive two-day workshop focuses on design and construction rather than fixed knitting patterns. Participants are given the tools to design and knit their own summer blouse from scratch.
The workshop is aimed at intermediate knitters who are comfortable with knit and purl stitches and wish to gain greater freedom in their knitting as well as a deeper understanding of fit, calculations and design choices.
Participants will learn how to select suitable yarns, take and use measurements, calculate correct sizing based on gauge, choose desired fit and work with necklines, length and optional sleeves. Adjustments during the process are an integral part of the workshop.
The course includes a minimum of 13 hours of instruction, combining group sessions, individual guidance and time for focused work. All participants receive a compendium for continued use after the workshop.
Selected yarn kits and accessories are available at a course price, and participants may also bring their own yarn. The workshop is taught by Helle Birkmose Winding and accommodates between 12 and 24 participants.
