30 July 2026 from 2.00 pm - 5.00 pm.

Klosterlund Museum invites visitors on a guided walk from Bølling Lake to Skallerund Lake through the scenic landscape near Engesvang.

The tour starts at Klosterlund Museum and follows the lakeside eastwards towards Stenholt Forest and Skallerund. Along the way, there will be several stops with stories about the history and nature of the area. Participants will experience springs, floating bog areas with peat and bog myrtle as well as traces of former peat production.

The walk also continues around Skallerund Lake where, if conditions allow, visitors may spot the rare carnivorous plant round-leaved sundew along with a rich variety of wildlife and plant species.

The guide is Annie Pedersen, who grew up in Klode Mølle and has a strong interest in nature, birds, plants, butterflies and local history. She is a volunteer at Klosterlund Museum and active in the local historical association of Kragelund Parish.

The walk is approximately 4 kilometres long in gently hilly terrain and lasts around 2-3 hours.
