Abildaa Brunkulsleje is situated 15km from Herning. It is a working museum founded by former coal workers, with the purpose to tell about one of the biggest workplaces in the lignite era. It shows how the digging was done and about everyday life in the coalfields. You can also go for a pleasant walk in the special nature-filled scenery.

It is allowed to bring food and they have a covered hall which is free to use.

The first Saturday in June, July, August, and September at 2:00 pm the museum becomes alive.

Always accessible, but besides the above mentioned days, the demonstrations are by appointment only.
