Svanholm Lake

Svanholm Lake is a large lake of 80.000 square meters with a beautiful reflection, running up to 3 m deep. The surroundings are remarkable for the beauty of their scenery; which used to be a brown coal camp. It has sheltered areas with tables, benches, grilling area and fire pits and toilets as well as a forest playground.

Herning Municipality is the landowner of Svanholm Lake with exception of the northern part. Fishing with fishing rods is free of charge from the shore of the marked area in the period 1st of May to the 31st of March.

Minimum size, closed seasons and the Order of fishing must be obeyed. Fish under the minimum size must be released as soon as possible. The pikes are protected from 15 March to 30 April and large Pikes must be released back to the water.
