Min Købmand Kølkær - Bike rental
RENT A BICYCLE AT ”MIN KØBMAND” IN KØLKÆR
As of 1st April 2019 it is possible for you to rent a bicycle at “Min Købmand”. We have 10 bikes at your disposal that comes in two different sizes, 50 and 54 cm. The bikes have seven internal gears. Bicycle helmet and lamps are included in the rental. You can also borrow a handlebar basket so that you are able to buy some provisions for the bicycle ride.
Parking is available by the shop which you find on Kølkær Hovedgade 45, 7400 Herning
The shop is open every day during the entire week. On working days from 6.30am-19.00 (7.00pm).
On weekends and holidays 7.30am-17.00 (5.00pm).
Rental prices:
One day: 50 DKK 6.50 € (Euro)
Three days: 100 DKK 13,50 €
Seven days: 150 DKK 20,00 €
Deposit: 200 DKK 25,00 € per bicycle
A contract must be filled in when renting a bike, where picture ID (Passport or driving license) must be shown. The bicycle must be picked up/returned during the opening hours of the shop.

Nature around Kølkær is most certainly worth a visit. On a bicycle ride, one gets to experience all of it a bit more intensely than in a car, and it is possible to travel widely in the area – also places that cannot be visited in a car.

The Brown Coal Field Museum of Søby is definitely worth a visit as well. This, you can also read much more about in the folder. If you have paid admission to the museum, you can show your receipt from the rental of the bicycles from Min Købmand and receive a free refreshment in return.
