As tradition dictates, we light up the grand Christmas tree on Torvet to mark the first Sunday of Advent. This festive event will be graced by our mayor, Dorte West, who will deliver a few inspiring words.

Together, we will sing in the Christmas spirit while admiring the beautifully decorated tree.

Santa Claus will also be there, spreading joy and handing out treats to the children.

Join us for a magical Christmas tree lighting on Sunday, December 1st. The shops will be open for Christmas shopping and cozy holiday experiences from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, while the city cafés will serve warm and delicious refreshments.

Before the tree is lit, don’t miss “Before the Christmas Tree Lighting” at Herning Church, featuring the Herning Boys’ Choir from 3:15 PM.
