80-året for Danmarks befrielse
May 4, 2025, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
Sunday, May 4, marks the 80th anniversary of Denmark’s liberation. On this occasion, Historiens Hus opens its doors for a reflective evening, offering an opportunity to celebrate and commemorate the day.
The evening features lectures and communal singing. Museum Midtjylland’s small wartime apartment on the second floor will be open, and visitors can taste substitute coffee and sample baked goods made from wartime recipes.
At 8:30 PM, the Freedom Message will be played. The evening concludes outside the building, where candles will be lit in the windows, and we will sing "Altid frejdig, når du går" together.
The wartime apartment will remain open until 9:30 PM.
Herning Local History Archive will host with coffee and cookies.
Free admission for the whole family.
