Angling
In Herning Municipality it is possible to go angling for free at 15 stretches. There are information and signs at the places. People between the age of 18 - 64 must have the mandatory angling sign.
The angling sign can be bought at the tourist agency VisitHerning, post offices and at www.fisketegn.dk
Here is a list of the stretches:
Lakes:
- Fuglsang Sø, Vesterholmvej and Brændgårdvej, Herning. Be aware of special rules!
- Gødstrup Sø, to the north Gødstrupvej, Tjørring
- Holing Sø, Løvbakkevej, Herning
- Præstbjerg Sø, Klejnstrupvej, Sørvad. Only for institutions and schools together with adults and also disabled.
- Sunds Sø, Ilskovvej and Skivevej, Sunds
- Svanholm Sø, Bjergevej, Sdr. Felding
Small rivers:
- Haderis Å, Åbakkevej, Herningvej, Haderup
- Herningsholm Å, from Gudenåvej to Brogårdvej, Herning
- Rind Å, Skjernvej, Greenvej in Arnborg plant
- Rødding Å, Lysgårdvej, Park Allé, Vildbjerg
- Skjern Å, Elkjærvej, Sdr. Felding
- Storaa, the canoe place Aulumvej, Nybro
- Sunds Nørreå, Sunds Kommuneplantage, Nørreåvej, Sunds
- Vegen Å, Løgagervej, Sørvad
