The Danish Wrestling Federation and the city of Herning are very proud to host the world championship 2009 from the 21st to the 27th of September.
The championships will be the biggest sports event Denmark has ever held, based on the number of participating countries. Therefore we will do everything in our power to make this event a unique experience for the wrestlers, and for you as spectators.

The championship will be more than just seven days with top sport in an Olympic sport. It will also be a party for you as spectators. Next to the arena we will therefore build a fan area, where spectators from around the world can meet and socialize, during and after the day of wrestling. The fan area will be made up of tents where there will be entertainment, and a possibility to buy food, soda and drinks.

If you want to stay in a mobile home or in caravans during the championship, this is also possible. There will be arranged a special caravan area next to the fan area. You can bring your own caravan or rent one from us. Order your space and caravan here
